If it’s kinda hippy chic, with a vintage twist you’re after then look no further than these Winkworth Farm wedding photos from Marc & Robyn’s wedding in August 2011. Knowing the family (having photographed Robyn’s sister’s wedding back in 2008?) made for a brilliant start to the day. Rocking up at their parents house again made me feel strangely at home. I knew the lie of the land, what would be going on where, the faces around the place and best of all, that the while family would have their usual relaxed nature to the proceedings. In fact Robyn’s dad is pretty much horizontal when it comes to being relaxed, I guess you’d have to be when you’re on the 3rd (and final) daughters wedding though – “do you know how much these things cost!”.
As expected the day was a blast, Robyn is just super cool, the vintage bride with unique look & style. Kids were everywhere, then suddenly unbeknown to me, off went Robyn to get her daughter up from a nap. “Okay, so when did you suddenly have a baby”!? It certainly wasn’t something that would make the day difficult, in fact everyone embraced the kids everywhere and it totally made the wedding day.
As for the wedding day itself, it was all pretty local to home in Crudwell where they had the ceremony at the local church, before heading off to Winkworth Farm for afternoon tea on the lawn.
I’m sure this could be considered child labour. Brilliant though…I may teach my kids.
Love the eyes.
It’s a busy morning around the house on a wedding day – cars to wash, flowers to ferry about….at some point dad even needs to get changed.
“Am I looking good”…….
“yep, good to go”!
A parental essential.
Crudwell Church, a stones throw from the popular wedding venue of The Rectory Hotel in fact.
Attempt no.1 with the cuff links……
…and attempt no.2 with the cuff links! Most people get dressed before they get to the church.
A ring cushion. Not seen many of them in my career.
Another favourite photo from the day. Great light on Robyn and her dads face as they walk towards the church.
“yeah, he’s the one I was expecting to see”
The baby sitters.
Favourite photo no.2 from the day.
An impromptu receiving line formed as guests left the church. not the norm at most weddings, but actually worked out rather well.
Favourite photo no. 3 from this wedding. It totally sums up the day. “have baby, but am getting married”
Welcome to Winkworth Farm.
“I’m not eating that cake”
“Me neither, I’m not even gonna open my eyes and look at it!”
“We’ll eat the sandwiches we’ve brought in our carrier bag”
Yes, getting a straight face or sensible pose out of these two was HARD work!
“ahhh yikes, the photographer is taking a photo of us, quick act natural”
Favourite photo no. 4 from this wedding. Cheeky, I like it. ;-)
Being the ‘arty’ type robyn had some great wedding decorations to fill the barn at Winkworth Farm.
