Whatley Manor wedding photos – Jeff & Anne

If you’re looking to pick the perfect autumnal day for a wedding, Jeff & Anne must have hit a home run.  With Whatley Manor as a backdrop the photos would certainly turn up trumps.  September offers the kind of light you don’t get in the height of summer.  Yes the evenings are closing in sooner, but when you have a 4pm ceremony, the light afterwards is usually about right for shooting some couple portraits, especially with the superb gardens of Whatley Manor to roam around.  This has to be one of Wiltshire’s best wedding venues, and similar in style to the fabulous nearby Rectory in Crudwell.  If you’re looking to have a small wedding, with intimate numbers of guests then this is the blog post to gander.

Jeff & Anne chose to celebrate their day with 28 close friends and family, and enjoyed an outdoor ceremony in the gardens of Whatley Manor.  The day ran smoothly (as you’d expect with only a handful of guests) albeit a few drinks glass breakages – clearly Croquet and Champagne are a dangerous combination.  With a relaxed feel it was refreshing to hear readings during the ceremony that had everyone in fits of laughter.  There aren’t many speakers that have song lyrics as part of the delivery.

So, if an intimate wedding is your idea of the perfect day then I hope you enjoy this fine autumnal collection of Whatley Manor wedding photos.

Whilst Anne relaxed (she was ready plenty early!) the wedding guests began to arrive and were kept occupied with a game of Croquet on the lawn in front of the main house.

The outdoor ceremony all set…..just awaiting a few guests.

It was at this stage of the proceedings I needed to not only keep and eye on the brides arrival, but also watch where I stood.  I defiitely didn’t fancy an unintentional dip in the water feature.

It really was a very amusing wedding reading.

Liking the idea of getting extra height here from their wedding guest.

Still plenty of confetti left over.

This photo made me laugh during the editing.  I’d not noticed the two guys on the left initially.  However they make this photo!
