Wedding at The Rectory Hotel – Preview

I recently photographed Chris & Nicky’s wedding at The Rectory Hotel, so thought it only fair to keep you up to date with a sneak peak, whilst I finish off the rest of their photos.  This time, I’ve chosen not to include either the bride or the groom, but instead a few wedding guests (after all you can see a beautiful photo of Nicky over on my facebok page).

Wedding guests are a big part of the day, and IMO more so than your wedding details, the flowers, the dress etc (although some may disagree!).  I like to ensure I have time to photograph them, which to do well, takes time.  You can’t have great natural wedding photos taken in a 5 min given window.  Waiting for the right moment, whilst observing guests is all part of good Documentary wedding photography, and an element of the wedding day I enjoy most.  These are the moments that often happen away from the bride & groom, so are great to look back on in your wedding photos afterwards.

I’ve chosen a couple of photos, one of the kids enjoying Croquet on the lawn at The Rectory Hotel….

….and a second of guests having a drink and a laugh during the wedding reception, when we all retreated inside as rain stopped play!

Don’t forget to check back soon for an update on Chris & Nicky’s wedding at The Rectory Hotel (coming shortly). In the meantime, hop on over to my Facebook page, where you can see other sneak peaks, and get the latest news straight to your FB feed if you ‘like’ the page.

News flash…..the full blog post is now up so if you wish to see more Rectory Hotel wedding photos, look no further!
