BOOM! Guy & Izzy are in the room (well on the blog anyhow). This was a fab wedding at Manor By The Lake in my home town of Cheltenham. Shooting weddings right on my doorstep is always a pleasure, although Gloucestershire has many amazing wedding venues, I’ve always really liked this one. It’s got beautiful gardens, amazing architecture, and the facilities for a wedding day include some guest accommodation and a wonderful bridal suit.
It was only a hop skip and a jump to the church too right here in Charlton Kings. The only element outside Izzy’s control (well apart from James Ordling the best man!) was the weather. No one wanted rain……that was’t the agreement right? Well, it wasn’t no, but the British weather did try and have a little attempt at dampening proceedings. Still, it certainly wasn’t as bad as the forecast, and despite some light rain and seriously ominous looking clouds, everything was brilliant from the preps through to first dance. I’m not sure Guy thought the best mans speech (or song) was quite so good though, but trust me it’s one of the best I’ve come across……and that means something when you’ve been to around 400 weddings in your lifetime!
So, here’s a massive selection of photos from the day (as I couldn’t decided what to show and what not).
Everyone needs a dad who gives you a shoulder rub on your wedding day.
Ummm, child on the loose.
Apparently an ‘under the veil’ shot was called for. Guy, tbh, was somewhat reluctant.
1) Poker face
2) Smiling faces
3) Smooching
OMG……@glosmagician is bending cuttlery! Jo’s face says it all.
Made to stand outside in the rain queuing for dinner – unheard of!
“oh”
Whoop whoop, here come the newly weds.
Every bride & groom entrance needs a sing along. And “all you need is…….ah wait up, just flip that round dude…..yep, LOVE!
No words for this!?!
Whilst eating commenced, I had a stroll around (in the now not rain) and took a few venue snaps before speeches. Ta na!
If you get past the hand, you have the key to Izzy’s heart!
OMG, is James the best man really singing?….Oh yeah, and it’s HILARIOUS.
So night time comes around and it’s not raining, the light is right……..attack the bridge, do some kissing whilst the photographer hides the bushes taking photos. Tick. Romantic wedding photos – done!
I feel they should take off or something here?
Have knife, will cut cake.
Can anyone tell Isobel is a dancer?
Night folks, another wedding day closes out!
