It’s certainly getting chillier, you can tell the season has changed. Long gone are the warm days of summer, with light evenings and opportunities to nip outside for a few photos after the wedding breakfast. It only seems like yesterday I was enjoying that. Ahh well, time to embrace change and an autumnal wedding at Berkeley Castle, albeit not quite the weather I might have hoped for. Grey skies and the threat of rain did mean I packed my umbrella this time. Although my brolly was put to shame with the work samples James had that not only kept rain off (a fundamental requirement) but lit up too. Alas, when it’s pouring with rain though, not many guests are mad keen to head outdoors for a photo shoot!
Weather wasn’t an issue for this couple though and to be honest didn’t actually cause any concerns during the main part of the day. With their laid back attitude, they were out to enjoy the day, without any sense of panic, even when Hannah’s wedding dress narrowly avoided a serious covering of Champagne (before she’d even got it on….let alone to the ceremony!)
So without further ado, sit back and enjoy a few photos from another enjoyable wedding at Berkeley Castle.
Umm these flowers smell great, smell them mum….
“See that up there”
“Yeah”
“That’s my wedding dress that is”
I think the words you’re looking for are “shit”….but keep calm.
“Right, who wants some Champagne, well what’s left anyway”.
Always nice to have an audience when you have your crown jewels out on display.
Blue skies were somewhat lacking on this autumnal wedding at Berkeley Castle. Ahh well, you can’t win ’em all.
“Keep strong son, remember NO TEARS”.
That’ll be confirmation the best man has indeed remembered the wedding rings.
Love this mexican wave going on.
Tissue in hand at the ready :-)
“Pass a tissue mum, I’ve definitely got something in my eye”
“Be strong young warrior”
Face/Palm….. mum now has the same dust in her eyes.
Thankfully james’ brother (and best man) hadn’t been troubled by the on set of tears and was more than capable of delivering his best mans speech with good form.
Yay, it’s someones birthday….bring on the cake and epic sparkler. And for anyone wondering this is Phil from Napier Catering who by my reckoning is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. So if you haven’t yet secured Napier catering for your wedding – get and do so.
Clearly dad’s prayers weren’t answered, James did in fact cry……once or twice :-)
Even rain of biblical proportions doesn’t stop a determined smoker.
“Right I’m pissed, let’s cut that cake and dance!”
Keep calm, I’m the bride.
Dance moves I’m less familiar with….but good none the less.
If you are having a wedding at Berkeley Castle and enjoyed seeing these photos, please drop me a line, I’d love to hear from you and have the opportunity to be part of your wedding day.
