Is there a better day to get married in the year than 3rd September – I doubt it Why? Well check out these Cripps Stone Barn wedding photos from Colin & Kimberley’s wedding to find out!
Not only was this a great wedding, it was held on the single most special day in the calender year (besides my birthday). The 3rd September 2011…..otherwise known as my wedding anniversary. Why was I at work you may ask. Well, it’s simple. This is my job, my job pays the bills, and sometimes key dates fall on a Saturday in the month.
Kim & Colin’s wedding therefore needed to be special. If I was spending 12 hours away from my wife on our anniversary I wanted a good day out, and that was exactly what I got. Starting at Kimberley’s parents home near Swindon I was greeted with a cup of tea and many smiles. What could be better. They had a lovely home, full of tasteful visual delights and from what I first though about 500 bridesmaids. It turned out only to be half a dozen, but I’d pretty much given up on remembering names beyond, Mum, Dad & Kim!
After a brilliant time with the ladies I headed off to the Cripps Stone Barn, Aldsworth in preparation for the brides arrival and to snap away as gusts arrived and Colin hang around nervously (although tbh, he wasn’t really the nervous type). The Stone Barn is a fairly new wedding venue and this was the first time I’d photographed a wedding there….needless to say, I ordered in some great weather, a cracking couple, fun guests and a good time – phew…all arrived as expected and teh day went off like a rocket.

Okay, clumsy bridesmaid alert…..let’s hope the stain comes out before you need to leave for the wedding ;-)
Just love these two photos. An alternative perspective on a wedding day.
I’d pull that face if three girls were looking up my dress too.

Ta na – yay, veil over the face…I like it when brides go for that option.

Such fantastic light inside the Cripps Stone Barn during the wedding ceremony.
Someone’s pleased with himself.
“Let me get those loose bits of confetti off there for you”
Not my idea, but I figured it’s kinda fun.
Ahh group shots. If only the wind wasn’t gusting at 100mph….still you can’t tell right?
