A sample of Pittville Pump Room wedding photography from Philip & Rebecca’s summer wedding in July 2011.
It’s great photographing weddings in my home town, one because I know it well and two as I get to go into venues/places I’ve maybe not been before. Philip and Becky’s wedding was at the Pittville Pump Room, but before we headed out there it was bridal preps at the contemporary Cheltenham hotel, Montpellier Chapter.
Montpellier Chapter had a recent facelift (having previously been call Kandinsky) and is a place I slope off to for an occasional beer on a warm summers evening. It’s cool, it reflects Cheltenham really well and was a perfect starting point for their wedding day. With it being barely a 5 minute drive to the Pittville Pump Room it was going to be a nice straight forward day too.
Even the camera shy get photographed – its no good hiding behind greeting cards…..that just makes me want to take photos even more.
I love this wedding detail shot. It’s not an arty shot of wedding shoes, or a wow factor wedding dress photograph. It simply portrays a truthful wedding day. Half eaten sandwiches, (therefore a nervous bride with little appetite), and the collection of shoes waiting for their moment of glory.
The more ‘styled’ wedding shoe shot :-)
“I hope your hands are clean touching that?”
Becky has the brightest blue eyes in this beautiful window light
As a parent this is just a classic child moment. Engrossed in ‘Mr Tumble’ on Cbeebies, oblivious to anything that goes on around them.
Possibly my favourite photo at this wedding. Clean simple and intriguing.
They need to drain the water somewhere right?
A quick practice before the real event.
Wedding car, Pittville Pump Room, Photo – tick.
Literally on the edge of her seat.
It’s nice to see your friends enjoying your wedding day right? I always take plenty of photos of guests (if time permits) it forms an integral part of the day and looks lovely in your wedding album to see all your friends informally chatting & drinking.
Don’t ask? I have no idea what was being talked about.
what a great expression – top marks to this lady.
Ooops…
….don’t worry, dad caught it!
