Want to see some Matara wedding photos with a Scottish twist? Here are a few from Iain & Emma’s autumn wedding in September 2010. As with many Scots drinking is a major part of any wedding day – in fact a major part of any day really! It was only polite therefore for the guys to start the day in a pub and generally go on from there. I headed out to Tetbury to meet Iain and the guys who were enjoying a drink (or two) before heading to Kingscote Church for the wedding ceremony.
Matara is only 500 yards from Kingscote Church so it’s a great combination for your wedding day and better still if the weather is dry as you can enjoy the short stroll between the two. Luckily it was a beautiful Autumnal day and guests were happy to walk between the two, if not insentivised by the availability of drinks when they reached Matara!
Iain is one of those guys who never stops smiling and having a laugh.
Sometime a photo opportunity just presents itself at a window. Whilst photographing the boys (below) these wedding guests using the room above to get ready, just couldn’t resist getting a snap themselves.
Yeah, autumn can be windy (with some rain too).
I can’t believe she slept through the whole wedding ceremony!
At the request of Emma the boys performed on cue.
I like to take photos like this, they simply show the atmosphere of your wedding day, the guests and to some extent the venue too. This is taken inside one of the many reception rooms at Matara. If you wish to read more about this beautiful venue then check out my Matara wedding venue page for more info and links to other weddings photographed here.
Mirror table plans have proved very popular lately.
