A selection of Manor By The Lake wedding photos from Stuart & Rowena’s wedding last weekend……when it wasn’t raining and we thought it was summer for a brief moment.
If you read my blog regularly, you may have heard mention of these two cool cats before. We spent a morning together hanging out in Cheltenham taking Engagement photos earlier in the year, but now was the BIG occasion. Time to say ‘I do’ and be all serious! Hah, as if! Okay, so they did say ‘I do’, but the laughter, smiles, little touches and sweet moments were all still there too. Clearly a couple very much in love, and with friends and family around them to enjoy the day. Albeit a few guests only just made it to the church in time……yes an accident on the M5 does cause serious heart palpitations when running late to get to a wedding ceremony.
All up a fab day as I’d expected. Rowena smiled the whole day long….clearly hanger never took over (thank goodness for that). Keeping energy, food & sleep levels topped up were clearly a priority on the wedding day, and minions rallied around to ensure this was the case! :-) Officially we call them bridesmaids, but minions when they’re out of ear shot!
You get the idea anyhow, it’s all about these two, the photos tell a story of smiles, love, happiness, emotion, soft touches, tenderness and maybe a little embarrassment at times too. After all, speeches need to touch on a few raw nerves just to keep the groom grounded.
Have a fab life together and may these photos remind you of the day that was your wedding day.
Did I mention Rowena smiles a lot?
“Yum, blusher brush”
At this point Rowena went into quiet mode. Maybe, just maybe some butterflies being to creep in?
Love the back of Rowena’s wedding dress.
Only 20 mins late. :-)
This is the kinda bridesmaid you need. Multi-tasking-master. Bag, lippy & phone. I’ll bet there’s a bouquet in there somewhere too.
Some kinda urgency to be on hand with the bridal party. T’was short-lived whatever it was….but nice to see a busy usher.
At this point I’ll run you though how this photo should look. Bride & father of bride (on her arm) at the front, bridesmaids gracefully swanning along behind, helping with the dress, veil etc. In reality, Rowena was left to fend for herself…..and we all know a wedding veil can take some management! Nil poi, for the bridesmaids here – sorry girls! :-(
At this point, most, if not all of the 7 people in this photo were meant to look up, or in front, or just not at the ground. Still, one outa 7 aint’ bad. This is what happened…..I’m just here to take the photos right? :-)
Ahh.
Ready…
…set…
…go…
Love this photo. Never before at a wedding have I seen this happen – FAB.
‘Wedding veil attacks innocent chauffeur.’ Bride has lost control.
Go on Stu, you can drink all that in the 20mins it takes to get back to Cheltenham.
Yep, Rowena now looks 5′ 8″ easily….maybe more. :-)
Err, veil fail……AGAIN.
Stuart knows all the photographers tips. Use your hand to see the light. It may look like something else is going on here, but I assure you, no Rowena’s were harmed in the making of this photo.
7 years. It took 7 years. Fair enough, gotta make sure she’s a keeper eh!?
“yeah, not sure that’s totally true Dad”
Gimme sultry…..right on the mark. :-)
Make no mistake, Rowena wears the trousers here, and when Stuart needs to keep those eyes open for the photos, he’s put in his place.
“Oh laser eyes, I love you”
