Wahoo, another wedding at Kingscote Barn with glorious weather….I’m thinking I might be a lucky charm for good weather at this venue. Maybe that’s why I’m on their preferred wedding supplier list, or perhaps it’s the fact we’re about to head into September that things are on the mend. After all it’s hardly been a good summer, so we at least deserve a decent autumn.
Kieren & Charlotte’s wedding day had it all. Great weather, a super location and the wow factor of arriving by helicpoter – well for the groom anyhow. Charlotte had to make her way to the barn with her own two feet! She used Spring cottage (the on site accommodation) for bridal preps, which if you look ever so closely in the photo below you can see to the left of the main barn complex. It’s only a short walk, and to be fair her heels weren’t too high!
Anyhow, here’s a peak at the wedding photos from their day in late August 2012.
The idillic setting of Kingscote Barn in it’s hill top position looking out across this beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.
I’ve not seen these crates with wedding names embossed before. Pretty neat huh? A nice item to keep afterwards and have around the home too.
Wedding car – nahh….to predictable. Kieren opted for a ride to the wedding in a helicopter instead, and what a perfect day for it. If you’re keen to do this also, Kingscote Barn has a suitable ‘heli-paddock’ to land in, right on the doorstep.
Groom: “Check me out….I arrived by helicopter”
Guest: “No way, really?”
Groom: “Yes way…..I know, cool huh!”
Great faces here as Charlotte walks down the aisle in the barn. Good to see a bride looking up……it’s hard not to keep an eye on your feet in case you trip up, but so much better for photography if you can!
Dads eyes – a classic.
Wedding rings – check.
Almost as big as the smile when he landed in the helicopter earlier….ahh okay, I think this is in fact another level beyond – soneone’s a happy man.
Six friends, I mean wedding guests, all just wishing the groom to fail!
My associate Kingscote Barn wedding photographer was most definitely this lovely pregnant lady. I reckon she came close to taking even more photos than me….and I use two cameras!
One of my new fav spots to take a photo of Kingscote Barn from. I love showing the setting and location of this picturesque barn in the Cotswolds.
At this point if you’ve not been keeping up on Facebook, get on over there and check out “how to pose like a pro”….a master class from the other bridesmaid – very funny.
Ahh. A kinda traditional looking photo for me, but I rather like it.
Ever wondered what the guests do whilst I take photos of the bride & groom. In this instance watch and heckle!
Sweet wedding cake huh?
I’m guessing the tables names had a travel theme.
If the bridesmaids weren’t posing for me, they were busy taking photos instead. Loved this one……it took her long enough to compose, I had time to get around and shoot it from both sides too. Everyone loves jazz hands.
I love this photo. Great energy, quirky angle, but enough context to know it’s wedding speeches.
After dinner a Photo Booth was set up and who was I to resist shooting a few frames over their shoulder.
Quite regal looking I reckon.
Just walk through the corn, stand over there and I’ll take a photo – simple. Thankfully the corn wasn’t going to be harvested until the day after the wedding – phew!
Gay skippy photo anyone?
