A selection of Kingscote Barn wedding photos from Morgan and Briony’s summer wedding in August 2011.
Again it was a small world when I first met Briony, in that I found out she’d worked at the nursery my daughter was at. Clearly she was going to be good with children therefore and had that lovely friendly nature that kids gravitate to.
Watching the weather on the run up to a wedding day is a brides obsession. Having had a week of perfect summer sunshine, to then see a forecast of heavy rain came as a surprise.! It’s safe to say though, as per many weather predictions, it wasn’t totally accurate. The wedding day was a touch damp to start with (hang on isn’t August meant to be sumer), but thankfully the sun pulled though later on and it turned out beautiful.
All the wedding was held at Kingscote Barn and the girls used the accommodation on site for their morning preparations. Purple was clearly the theme for this wedding and with almost half a dozen bridesmaids to hand the day was definitely good fun.
Gotta get them bows right on the bridesmaid dresses, “Now is yours tied right, that looks a little low?’
All hands on deck to get Briony into her wedding dress.
Quick check out the window to watch a few guests arriving.
A silver six pence for good luck.
So this is most definitely a first. Mum and Dad walking the bride down the aisle.
Briony had brought along this empty frame to get a few guests pictures in.
Wedding table settings with a purple theme.
Inside at Kingscote Barn set for the wedding breakfast.
The view across the valley from Kingscote Barn…..
…and the view back towards Kingscote Barn…..
Cool tattoo. You can tell this is taken later in the day too – check out the dirtiness of Briony’s dress now ;-)
Ohh this made me laugh when I first saw it. Laser lights are at best totally unpredictable, so this really is more luck than judgement.
