Clearwell Castle wedding photography from Mike and Adele’s wedding in August 2010.
I recall the first time I spoke with Adele when she called up to enquire about wedding photography. She’d seen other Clearwell Castle weddings I’d photographed and really loved my eye for photography. So with someone praising me like that it was hard to imagine not photographing her special day.
Fast forward a few weeks and we met up to go through the finer points, at which time I met Mike, Adele’s fiance. It was one of those strange moments where a face looks familiar and then we realise I’d met him through a friend of mine when we’d been out for a drink one evening. Clearly this was a marriage made in heaven, and the three of us sat and chatted about their day!
Mike and Adele had planned a mid week wedding at Clearewll Castle and used the nearby church (St. Peter’s) for their wedding ceremony. You can see form the photos below it really is right on the doorstep, and in my view a great way to break up your wedding day, and hopefully enjoy a stroll in the fine weather between the two venues. If you wish to read more about Clearwell Castle wedding venue, this post has a little more to offer.
St. Peter’s Church near Clearwell Castle
Love the ringlets!
Looking good from the back!?
It’s great at Clearwell Castle for wedding photography especially when the Bride and Groom both use the rooms to get ready – I can then zip between the two and cover the days events from both sides.
I love just the glimpse of Adele’s eye here.
Brail preps done, now off to get married – Adele certainly looks pleased with herself!
Is that ‘holding back the tears’?
St. Peter’s Church is pretty dark inside….thankfully a bright day and some good lenses it’s just about possible to use natural light.
Is that not just the face of total satisfaction. I think Adele’s wedding ring may have been a long time in waiting!
Adele (a teacher) had her class of children at the wedding to sing – what a fab idea!
I’m thinking the wall could do with a re-plastering!
Plenty of on lookers – come on guys, don’t be shy, chat to the bride and groom!
I love this photo as guests walk from the church up to Clearwell castle. It tells a story of the wedding day and hopefully brings back memories to the bride and groom of their wedding.
Before the children sang there were a few slides shown of Mike and Adele.
Someone’s nodded off in the background ;-)
