What Friars Court say about their wedding venue
Friars Court is a mid-17th century house, set in 600 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Friars Court is a privately owned property and so you will have exclusive use of all the grounds.
Civil ceremonies can take place in a number of locations around Friars Court most notably are the outdoor wedding venue of the Rose Arbour or the Stone Barn.

What I think of Friars Court as a wedding venue
I’ve photographed many weddings at Friars Court since first being recommended by them back in 2006. Providing a good service in this industry is defiantly rewarded by venues who are happy to recommend you to their wedding clients.
Outdoor wedding ceremonies have become more popular over recent years, which is the ace up Friars Court sleeve. Not many venues match up to Friars Court in terms of it’s charming gardens and the integration of your wedding into these.
It also has a small moat running through the gardens, but watch out if you have kids who can’t keep away from water…..or drunk guests for that matter!
You do of course have the alternative of the barn or summer room for your wedding ceremony should the weather take a typically Brisitsh turn and rain on your wedding day!
This is definitely a unique wedding venue. It’s popular for intimate weddings yet can cater for bigger numbers with use of the barn and/or a marquee in the grounds.
I’ve photographed weddings here, varying from a picnic (not your usual wedding breakfast) to wedding tea parties with only ten guests.
Friars Court is located near Clanfield in Oxfordshire, where there are a couple of good pubs for wedding guests accommodation.
The village also has a parish Church should you wish to have a traditional wedding ceremony.
