No two years are the same for a wedding photographer, in fact no two weddings are ever the same either. This becomes apparent if you scroll back through my 2012 or 2013 favourites (which I just did). It’s great to be reminded of the lovely couples who’s day I shared, the various wedding venues I photographed at, some amazing sunsets, a few torrential downpours, plenty of tears, loads of laughter and a bucket full of beautifully captured moments. Despite many of these moments still being fresh in my mind, astonishingly another year has passed and we’re well into 2015, meaning I’d due a review in pictures of 2014.
As ever this isn’t an easy task. As I skim through the year’s blog posts, and pull out a few favourites from each, a sizeable pile soon builds up. In fact 280 photos from the year made it into my ABSOLUTE FAVS, and that’s me being ruthless. That’s clearly far to many for a 2014 portfolio review so I’ve hacked away again, culling numerous fine photos in leau of a potentially better one for the final cut. And so here we have it, my favs from 2014.
A wedding photographer portfolio from 2014
Due to keeping the photo count down, I’ve only included photos of people. All venue photos, detail shots, dress, flowers etc, got the chop. It’s not that I don’t take ’em, but sometimes you’ve just gotta let it go! It’s happy go lucky folk all the way this time for 2014. Enjoy.

Love the sense of atmosphere in this photo.
Ta na.
Don’t concern yourself with the wedding car you’re sitting on, just make sure we don’t see up your kilt.
“You’ll have to get that out later”
Everyone needs a guests who’s a part time firefighter at their wedding.
I do that too.
You can never start too young with make-up.
