Sometimes luck would have it that you have a Saturday available in your calendar that’s enquired about at very late notice. Alex & Olga’s Manor By The Lake wedding was one such day. This couple who reside in Dubai, only enquired about 6 weeks before the day, and I’m super pleased to say I was available, and not only that the weather in Gloucestershire was also on par with that offered abroad too! Clearly this was going to be a spectacular day. When I first Skype’d Alex & Olga they exuded fun yet a reassuring sense of calm & genuine trust in me to capture amazing wedding photos.
Berkeley Castle wedding photographer – Steve & Danielle
Steve & Danielle’s wedding was held at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire, and was a seriously fun packed day with no holds barred. As a wedding photographer only a small part of my job is taking photos, personality and understanding couples is equally as important IMO. I’d not met Steve or Danielle before the wedding, so had a quick […]
Wedding photography Manor By The Lake – Preview
If you’re getting married in Cheltenham then you’d best be considering the amazing venue that is Manor By The Lake. As I’ve said time and time before it’s one of Gloucestershire’s hidden gems and since it’s refurbishment last year it certainly ticks all the boxes. It’s a beautiful Victorian mansion, with character and charm, plus the […]
Berkeley Castle wedding – Calvin & Mandy
Calvin & Mandy’s wedding was held at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire, a venue I’m very familiar with, yet hadn’t visited since earlier in the year. Now a lot warmer (than back in January), surely there would be plenty of opportunities for outside photos, it is summer after all. Ah, there’s the hitch, despite a good run […]
Wedding photography Elmore Court – Mark & Jane
I had a very busy weekend of weddings here in Gloucestershire over the recent bank holiday. Mark & Jane tied the knot at the fabulous Elmore Court, which if you haven’t considered this as a wedding venue then you really should add it to your shortlist. Set in a peaceful countryside location with great views and a sense of warmth when you step inside this is possibly one of the freshest venues for weddings in Gloucestershire at present
Garden wedding at Barnsley House – Paul & Heather
Over the lovely bank holiday weekend I was busy blasting out weddings like never before! It’s not quite a holiday when you have three weddings in a row to photograph, but what made it magical for me was the difference as ever between them all. The first of my triple header was a garden wedding at Barnsley House in Gloucestershire for Paul & Heather.
Manor House Hotel wedding photos – James & Tina
Who’d have predicted an outdoor wedding at Manor House Hotel this weekend, apparently not the staff! Having set up indoors initially, an about turn occurred, rearranging the plans as the sun burst though the clouds and the day brightened beautifully. I guess that flexibility is what makes Manor House Hotel an accommodating wedding venue. If you’re fallen in […]
Sudeley Castle wedding – Rob & Peling
Last weekend I was at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire for the wedding of Rob & Peling. I’d previously only chatted to them over Skype as they reside in the USA, but chose to get married back here in the UK close to Rob’s parents home in the Cotswolds. Sudeley Castle wedding venue is stunning, certainly one […]
Wedding photography Solihull – Greg & Kathryn
April 2015 in the UK and summer has arrived, but have we peaked too early? Okay, so it’s now May when I’m writing this blog post, dressed in jeans and a jumper (my shorts have been put back away!). 40mph winds have been bending the bamboo horizontal in my garden and an unexpected nigh time frost got my […]
