To say we’ve had a bad summer of weather is a massive understatement and this wet wedding at Eastnor Castle is definitely testament to that! In fact, the BBC reported recently we’ve had 3 times the typical monthly rainfall this July, yet we’re still only half way through the month. I personally think most of […]
Berkeley Castle weddings – Andrew & Yasmin
I’ve got several Berkeley Castle weddings to photograph this year, with Andrew and Yasmin’s being the first. Neither of them are from Gloucestershire, in fact Andrew is Australian and they now both live in London, where it appears many of my couples who get married in the Cotswolds come from. Despite the horrendous summer weather […]
Sudeley Castle wedding photos – Ahmed & Della
Last weekend saw me revisit Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire for the wedding of Ahmed & Della. I hadn’t been back to Sudeley since taking wedding photos there in 2008 for Rowley & Nicola, which was quite a memorable occasion as I met the Stig from Top Gear then too! Their wedding had been a crisp […]

Vintage wedding Friars Court – Rob & Sian
Sit yourself down for the story of Rob & Sian’s vintage wedding at Friars Court in June 2012. Better still, if you’re looking for some vintage wedding ideas, perhaps inspiration on how to decorate a rustic barn for a wedding, then look no further – it’s all here for your delight. When it comes to weddings, […]
Wedding photos Gloucester Cathedral – Ben & Hannah
Ben & Hannah had originally planned to have their wedding ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Painswick (renowned for it’s fabulous yew trees). However a change of plan meant things increased in scale slightly and Gloucester Cathedral became their preferred choice of wedding venue. I’d not taken wedding photos at Gloucester Cathedral before so was […]
The Daffodil
If you’re looking for a Gloucestershire wedding venue with a unique style, maybe someting of a glamorous vintage look, then The Daffodil is definitely a great place to start.
It caters for civil ceremonies and Partnerships with a capacity to hold up to 140 guests for the wedding reception. Fine dining and use of the cocktail bar are highlights you can’t miss.
This is however very much an indoor wedding venue. For wedding photos at The Daffodil, I’d recommend using the main entrance with its stunning checkered floor, or perhaps the nearby Montpellier Park, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
