The month of May conjures ideas in my mind of fresh spring sunshine, coupled with vibrant greenery and the smell of cut grass. So why was Tuesday pouring down with rain, with skies more reminiscent of a dull November day? Scott, Hayley and myself wondered the same too, which was why shifting their portrait photos to later in the week was a much better plan. Fluffy white clouds, a bright sky and a balmy 12 degrees were order of the day.
We headed out around Pittville Park in Cheltenham, one of may favourite spots for beautiful location portraits. This area of Cheltenham is great for portrait photography as there aren’t usually too many other people around (to make you feel self conscious) and the location has plenty of opportunities for a variety of images.
Pittville Pump Room has these beautiful tall pillars which reminded me of a recent trip to Rome….albeit these pillars are a little less crumbling than those in the Roman Forum (it was 7th Century BC after all).
Scott and Hayley have their wedding planned for May 2014 at the fabulous Kingscote Barn. Let’s hope the weather is as good in a years time, and having this engagement session has given them the confidence to enjoy having their photo taken and relax on the day.
