I’ve photographed a few weddings at Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire this year, but with a busy wedding season I’d not had time to blog them all. In fact this raises the question I’m occasionally asked…..”will we make the blog Matt?”. Well yes, ‘most’ weddings get blogging, but sometimes with up to three weddings in a week, I’d be working solidly for about 2 weeks just to keep up, and occasionally something has to give to try and fit in a personal life too! I’d far rather ensure you’re photos are delivered on time or your wedding album designed and sent out :-)
Anyhow, a wedding at Clearwell Castle. A crisp October day, chilly but bright. You couldn’t be dealt a better hand…well maybe a bit warmer but it was autumn after all.
Without further ado here’s a peak at the wedding photos from their day.
First in the hot seat for wedding make-up was Judith’s daughter…..closely followed by Judith herself.
“Which colour would you like, close your eyes and pick the left hand or right!?”

Okay, veil down and put your best foot forward, it’s time to get married. (actually it was time to get married 30 mins ago, but it’s a brides prerogative o be a little late right?
Step 1: LIght some candle.
Step 2: Say some vow, & kiss.
Step 3: Sign the wedding register to make sure it’s all legal.
Step 4: Cheer & smile….you’re now officially Mr & Mrs.
Totally love this photo. It portrays a moment that happens so often at weddings, especially in the autumn. Hair flying everywhere, veil about to tae off. Best of all we tried to throw confetti in this weather too.

After the church guests enjoyed a little run around in the castle. Okay, so only those under the age of 10. The rest enjoyed the free champagne instead.
Apparently it’s obligatory to get a wedding photo of the bride on the stairs at Clearwell Castle (or so Judith informed me) and who was I to question this….a bride is always right remember :-) So one standing…..

Terry didn’t want a fuss with the speeches so kept them low key and the heat off by having an informal approach doing them during the drinks reception before dinner started.
Okay, who forgot their bouquet when having an interview for the videographer? Just hold your hand up, no one will notice!
A quick shimmy on the dance floor then it was all over for me and time to say goodnight to Clearwell Castle until another day.
