I don’t often travel outside of the Cotswolds, but if an enquiry comes along for a venue that looks as beautiful as Delbury Hall, then who am I to decline! It was off to Shropshire therefore for the Delbury Hall wedding of Adam and Marisa in July 2011.
When it comes to brides with a big smile, Marisa’s must be record breaking. I’ve never known anyone to smile so much and be so happy on their wedding day. It’s infectious to be around and certainly ensured everyone was having a fab day!
The wedding weather (a well known search term of many brides!) was text book; warm enough, without being over bearing, so I was delighted to be in the beautiful Shropshire countryside to enjoy it. It has to be said though, Ludlow is a long way from a motorway….. I was definitely feeling a new road infrastructure was necessary on my way up there!
As for the wedding day itself, it couldn’t have been better. Great fun at Marisa’s mums house in the morning, off to a particularly unusual looking church for the wedding ceremony, then on to the delightful Delbury Hall for wedding photos and food & drink.
Washing up! It’s such a typical scene at so many weddings, this time I had to photograph it.
Only on your wedding day are you forgiven for princess like tendencies as Marisa hands over a snotty tissue for her sister to dispose of!
Ohh the concentration!
White gloves always bring a smile to my face. I either see them at weddings or on Antiques Roadshow when someone is touching an ancient artefact!
I love this photo, very much of the moment, with everyone hurrying into the church.
Maris (well perhaps the ushers) had given out bubbles to the guests (as opposed to confetti).
That cake looked very yummy, in fact it even smelt yummy whilst taking the photo :-)
Inside Delbury Hall set for the wedding breakfast.
The beautiful building that is Delbury Hall
Possibly one of my favourite couple photos from the day.
What a great ‘shocked look’ Marisa’s mum has.
