A few Barnsley House wedding photos from Chris & Kerry’s wedding in spring 2010.
Barnsley House and the surrounding village are packed with Cotswold charm. As a setting for your wedding day it certainly ticks a lot of boxes. You’ve got the local pub just across the road, Barnsley church a short walk through the village and Barnsley House with it’s picturesque gardens for your wedding reception and photos.
Chris and Kerry got married in April and had a lovely warm spring wedding day (with a sneaky April shower just to keep us on our toes). The day worked perfectly for them seeing as they used the local church for their wedding ceremony and managed to dodge the shower during the commute too and fro!
The lovely weather meant we were able to use the beautiful gardens at Barnsley House for some wedding photos whilst guests enjoyed the drinks reception out on the lawn combined with some croquet!
One of the great features of having your wedding at Barnsley House is using their beautiful rooms, for both the bride and/or the groom. With this in mind it’s easy for me to pop between the two, to capture both the girls getting ready and the guys.
The village pub (in Barnsley, nr Cirencester) literally just over the road from the wedding venue….and literally opposite the church too. A very nice set up for your wedding day if you wish to walk between venues on foot, rather than needing wedding cars.
The gardens at Barnsley House are fantastic with hotel guests choosing to stay here just to spend time relaxing outside on the lawn!
I love the room set up here. Barnsley House needs very little in the way of ‘personal’ touches as it’s such a beautiful venue to start with.
The famous Laburnum archway…..although a little too early in the season for it to be out.
