If you’re after a visual delight of Eastnor Castle wedding photography then look no further than this fine day of Mark & Alison’s. This venue has all the grander you’d expect from a Castle. The outdoor grounds are immense, surrounded by the deer park, arboretum and lake, with wonderful views from inside looking out across the landscape. The interior walls are adorned with tapestries, taxidermy, armour and ancient artefacts dating back through the years. It’s an all inclusive wedding venue so several guests also got to enjoy the upstairs rooms, as well as the main interior spaces where the wedding took place.
The day itself had a very friendly, fun feel to it. Mark and Alison had been married before, so this time around it was all about the friends and family having a good time – no worrying about politics, what to say, where to be, doing the right thing. Speeches were brilliant, no holds barred from the best man, and clearly the relationship these two had was rock solid.
A landing by helicopter kicked off the day for the boys, whilst the ladies pampered themselves in the bridal suit and surrounding castle rooms. Entertainment was provided by a magician during the drinks reception, and the reactions by guests were priceless. I think the kids especially enjoyed this.
Anyhow, here are a few photos from their fab wedding day.
Wedding day selfies are becoming ever more popular. I don’t think a wedding goes by where I haven’t snapped 5 or 6 of these!
I can’t claim this set-up, I did poach the shot from my perspective though. :-)
Mark’s daughter did reading during the service, however due to a slight mix up, she hadn’t brought the iPad, (assuming she was doing the reading later). She made an amazing effort though to overcome adversity here, and still stood up and remembered as much as she could off by heart – amazing…and very courageous.
It’s not everyday someone pulls a card out from behind your ear.
The 2nd most important lady on the day!!!! :-)
Such a beautiful room for the wedding breakfast at Eastnor Castle.
Ummmmm, chocolate cake. YUM.
You may have to look closely to get this photo. There’s a reason the bridesmaid (below) is covering her eyes.
