I had a very busy weekend of weddings here in Gloucestershire over the recent bank holiday. Mark & Jane tied the knot at the fabulous Elmore Court, which if you haven’t considered this as a wedding venue then you really should add it to your shortlist. Set in a peaceful countryside location with great views and a sense of warmth when you step inside this is possibly one of the freshest venues for weddings in Gloucestershire at present. If you’re hip you’re in. If it’s quirky and/or eccentric you’re after Elmore Court has that too. With the main house and it’s detached ‘Gilllyflower’ you’ve got the best of both worlds. History from the 1500’s and a modern day eco build out back! Which maybe why Jane picked this venue, if you need a big dance hall, this is the one! So when dancer & choreographer Jane stepped inside I’m sure this set her hairs on end!
The wedding itself was a delight to photograph……let’s be honest they’re not a bad looking couple eh!? Lovely details were arranged throughout and the friends and family made it a special day. BUT the finale for me was what scored this wedding 11/10. It was a first for me to photograph Moulin Rouge ‘esque’ dancing before the couple hit the floor themselves. And no one could argue that’s not unusual at a wedding……..unless of course you’re a dancer perhaps! So, a fab day, great couple and an easy going venue to work at.

“Okay girls, time for a quick rehearsal of walking down the aisle”
Ohh the pressure, she was good!
No wait, look at the lovely lines created here! Such a perfect step.
All done, lets hide behind the door now :-)
This room at Elmore Court has the most wonderful light. It has plenty of room to roam around taking pictures too. A big bonus IMO.
The time nerves begin to surface.
So love this photo.
Must Not Spill Champagne. Keep mouth open in a weird way, that will definitely help!
Top tip. Everyone needs scissors during bridal preps, make sure you pack some.
Sweet moment eh?
Perfect, just how they practiced it.
Yep, it’s real, you are officially married, rings and everything!
It’s all about the eye…..
…. oh hang on, it’s all about the moves now!
Bridesmaids get all the best jobs!
Handsome by himself…..or does Jane need to coochie up next to him?
I showed Jane this photo on the back of my camera when I took it. Her response: “I look like a bride”. Yep, you are that!
The fabulous Gillyflower bathed in early evening light.
Ahh point shoes, my wife would not resist touching these had she been at the wedding. Girls and Ballet are a strong line in the Davis household.
Mark took a brave approach with his wedding speech. Whether he lives to regret that will have to be seen!
If you have friends that sing…….get them to your wedding eh!
Photobombing bridesmaids. You’d think once was enough, but these two had clearly had plenty to drink and time on their hands :-)
The evenings entertainment when you have a bride that likes dancing meant it was something special! Burlesque anyone?
First dance is quite important when you’re a dancer! Nice lines!!
Pretty cool outfits even if I do say so myself.
