An astonishing 4 years ago, back in 2010 Jon & Laura got married at Kingscote Barn, and had one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever been to. A few of their photos still grace my portfolio pages, and the fantastic photo of them kissing in the fields near Kingscote Barn still make my home page slideshow, and also promotional literature for Kingscote Barn itself.
Anyhow fast forward four years and I get a phone call from Jon telling me two have become five (a toddler of 2 and 7 month old twins). Whoop, whoop that’s fantastic news, you gotta love kids, although I wouldn’t want twins myself….talk about hard work! Well, with the wedding anniversary looming ever present, Jon figured (or did Laura lay a few easy to pick up on hints?) a family photo shoot on the exact same date would be a great way to keep some memories alive in years to come. It’s flattering to be asked to return to take more photos, and also testament to the fact great service goes along way. And how could I possibly say no with this uber fun couple…..ever minute around them is high octane. I set out to Monmouthshire (where they now live) to capture some family portrait photography, that hopefully depict the real characters they all are, and created something wonderful to hang on the wall of their barn conversion for a few more years to come.
The brief was simple “take some of your usual photos Matt”, so that’s what I did.
All photo shoots start off with clean kids – if that remains the case, who knows?
Three kids & two additional helpers, no wonder Jon was just sat around drinking ice coffee.
Jon goes for maximum height when throwing his kids in the air!
A popular past time for the babies.
This is how easy it is to juggle three kids!
Back home after the quick walk around the lake and we still had time for a bit of footie.

Did I mention it was Jon & Laura’s 4 year wedding anniversary? Champagne anyone?
Still very much in love – ahhh :-)
After a little bounce around there was sufficient time before dinner to push your brother on the swing…..which clearly he liked.
